Britney Spears will begin Circus Tour next March ('09), she has announced yesterday on her 27th birthday (Dec. 2). The tour is scheduled to kick off on March 3 with a performance at her hometown in New Orleans, reads MTV.com. After fours year without touring, she has planned to hit 25 dates in the US and 2 in the UK. Meanwhile, Britney was the most popular search term on Yahoo's search engine in 2008. World Wrestling Entertainment made a second place; Barack Obama hit the third spot and Miley Cyrus and the online game "RuneScape" reached forth and fifth palce, respectively.

Britney Spears claims more freedom in her over watch life. The ‘Womanizer’ singer has opened up about her breakdown in documentary 'For The Record,' scheduled to aired on December 1. She says, "I've been through a lot this year — well, actually the past two or three years," she says. "And my trust has really been battered. I've definitely grown up — big time. And I'm very weary of a lot of things. Very protective of myself." She follows, "There's no excitement, there's no passion, there's no nothing. It's just like `Groundhog Day' every day, you know? So I'm really bored." "…I think it's too in control…I never wanted to become one of those prisoner people. I always wanted to be free."
Britney’s ex-boyfriend denied sex-tape - 2008-10-02
Britney Spears’s ex-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib has denied the existence of a sex-tape. Rumors were buzzing that Ghalib was trying to sell an alleged two-hour tape, which showed the superstar sporting nothing but a pink wig. However, Ghalib insisted the story is untrue and make up by the press. “There is no sex tape, and I’ve never claimed there is one,” he said. “I don't know where these quotes I’m supposed to have said have come from. What I do know is they certainly didn't come from me and they are completely false.” Meanwhile, Britney has said she’s eager to make an international tour next year (’09) to support her new album ‘Circus.’
Britney to open MTV VMAS one more time - 2008-09-04
Britney Spears will open this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, it was confirmed. The singer, whose last year’s performance at the same event was a complete flop, is eager to kick off this new ceremony. Britney says, "MTV has long played an important role in my career. How can I not be there to kick off their 25th VMA - I'm excited to open the entire show, to say hi to my fans and to be nominated." MTV Networks Music President Van Toffler said, "I can't wait to see what she does to kick off this year's show.” Britney vies for Best Female Video, Best Pop Video and Video of the Year for 'Piece Of Me'.
